This policy is the focal point of our quality strategy, which also incorporates appropriate methodologies for specific projects.
At Eurideas the translation process involves the following activities:
1. Source text analysis: The project manager analyses the length and topic of the text to be translated and makes recommendations of the reference documents to be used (that are either provided by our partners or are accessible via the Eurideas` library).
2. Organisation: A schedule is established and the project team is set up, which usually consists of a project manager, a translator, a proofreader and a quality controller.
3. Translation: The translator translates the document.
4. First check: The project manager checks the overall appearance of the document, the terminology used as well as the formatting and forwards the document to the proofreader.
5. Proofreading: The proofreader adjusts the translation if necessary. (S)he checks the grammar, spelling, terminology and the flow of the text.
6. Second check: The project manager checks the proofread translation and, if there are questions, asks the proofreader to clarify any issues and to make the adjustments if necessary.
7. Final quality control: The ‘green light’ for submission is given by the quality controller, who makes a final comparison between the translation and the source document.
8. Partner`s feedback: Feedback from our partners is always appreciated as it enables us to meet their requirements more quickly and effectively.
Experienced and dedicated team
Our team combines the managerial and thematic competences that guarantee a professional approach to the tasks to be carried out.
- Our translators and interpreters are native speakers of their target language and most possess a translation diploma and/or have work experience in their thematic field.
- Our consultants/revisers are experts in different EU policy fields with extensive experience of EU project management, tender and proposal writing.
- Our office team consists of experienced project managers with an EU background. Besides providing professional support to the translators, they also ensure that deadlines and requirements are met.
- Our Quality Controller checks every single translation before submission to the client in order to ensure that it corresponds fully to the source document.
